I’ll code your templates into WordPress for free. If you design free open source CSS templates and looking for a WordPress coder to port your template, I’m your guy. If you don’t know what WordPress is, it’s a powerful and very popular blog publishing software. This site uses it, along with countless other blogs and websites.

I’ll do this at absolutely no cost to you, the designer. All I ask is a link back to this site in the footer of the theme release, which I think is a small price to pay for the additional exposure both of us receive. I’ll also put it up for download and announce it on the site. I’ve worked with a couple other designers in coding their free templates into WP. Free WordPress themes such as Simply AIO, WP Stylish, Tech Blue, and Retro Green were all designed by others and originally coded in just XHTML/CSS before we ported them into WordPress.

Of course I prefer to work with well coded, good looking templates that will potentially attract a lot of downloads. Feel free to contact me through the contact form if interested. Thanks!

Okay, you already know how to install the latest version of WordPress and want to switch away from the default WordPress theme look, but have no idea how to do it? Here’s the tutorial for you, complete with screenshots so even a beginner can easily follow along. With this three-step tutorial you’ll have a new blog theme ready in no time.

There are a few automated ways to do this, but like our previous tutorial, we will be focusing on manual WordPress theme installation only. This tutorial assumes you already have WordPress installed on your host. It also assumes you are installing a “normal” theme, i.e. no advanced functionality that would require additional plugins or configuration.

Finally, after three consecutive releases, today’s free WordPress theme release doesn’t have the word “Blue” in it. The original template was designed by our friends over at Templatefusion.org and ported into WordPress by us. This one is green, in a cool retro-style. Fittingly, it’s called Retro Green. This features a widget-ready sidebar and footer. We don’t recommend adding more than 3 widgets to the footer, and they should all be list items. Look at the live demo here. Download it here. Screenshot is below.

We also plan on announcing a new partner premium WordPress themes website, so stay tuned for that.

Today we have another free WordPress theme with the word “blue” in it. The design itself was created by our friends over at Hive Designs and ported into WordPress by us. You can see the demo here. Download it here. Screenshot of the theme is below.

This one has a few interesting features. On the top navigation menu, there really isn’t much room for a lot of page links, so we created an options page called Tech Blue Options, accessible through the admin panel under the Presentation tab. Here you can exclude pages you don’t want, and order them by title, ID number, or page order. Below is a screenshot of what this page looks like.

Today we have a great three column layout. As you can see, it has space for three different 125×125 images on the right. Both sidebars are widgetized. Live demo is here. Download it here. Screenshot below.

By the way, hope you liked the tutorial we published yesterday. We’ll have a few more simple WordPress-related tutorials coming in the future.

So you see a theme you like on our free wordpress themes page, but have no clue how to even install WordPress in the first place? Not to worry, we’ve written a little tutorial, complete with screenshots, so even a total newbie can figure it out! After five easy steps you’ll have a freshly installed WordPress installation, ready to start blogging.

There are a few ways of installing WordPress using autoinstaller scripts such as Fantastico, but in this tutorial we will be focusing on installing WordPress the old fashioned way - manually. This tutorial assumes you already have hosting configured for the URL you plan on having your installation of WordPress set up.

The title of this WordPress theme speaks for itself. It’s purple, and it has clouds. Hence we call this one Cloudy Purple. It’s completely widget-ready as well so you can move the sidebar items around with ease. Live demo is here and you can download it here. Screenshot is below.

We know this theme isn’t really that green, but couldn’t think of a better name. This theme has 3 columns, with content in the center. Both sidebars are widgetized. It also has a great spot for Adsense right above the content, just paste your code in the adsense.txt file and uncomment the HTML. Check out the live demo here and download here. Lots of new updates

As you may have noticed yesterday, we put a couple new buttons in the top navigation menu entitled “Forums” and “Advertise” which weren’t linked to anything. I’ve been getting numerous e-mails requesting support on many of our themes, and we thought it’d be more practical to have a public support forum. We were busy all day yesterday and today building our new support forums, running on bbPress. We have specific sub-forums for each theme we’ve released, so any support requests should now go in their respective forum instead of via e-mail.

We’re also now open for advertisers. You can contact us through the forum on the “Advertise” link above for more information. No inappropriate sites will be accepted.

You may have also noticed we are now using a download manager script. This will help us keep track of the downloads. You can also see the file size of each download, which might be useful to some. All old download links have been redirected through the new tracking URL’s for each theme. The top 5 downloaded themes will be displayed in the sidebar.

Let us know if you found any bugs in the site feedback section of the forum.

We’ll also be releasing a new theme soon, so keep an eye out for that, or you could just subscribe to our feed (link below).
