Archive for the ‘Theme Lab Showcase’ Category

I recently came across an alternative version of the Lightweight theme over at x.whatevurr.net, which has been released for download over there. Here’s a screenshot:

It’s a bit thinner than the original, and has a very noticeable pink color scheme. Not sure if any of you like pink themes, but hopefully this comes in handy for someone.

I came across a blog the other day and was surprised to see a credit link to Theme Lab in the footer. After looking at the source, I soon realized that this blog was using the Inverted Headline theme, available for free here at Theme Lab. Anyway, I Can Also Right is a design blog authored by Tim Benzinger. It looks like it has some really interesting stuff, if you’re into design.

As you can see, you can do some pretty amazing things just by customizing existing free WP themes. If you have a blog using a highly customized version of one of our free WordPress themes, feel free to contact me and I’ll see if I can include you in an upcoming showcase post.

So I was searching through Technorati, and came across a WordPress blog with a “Theme by Theme Lab” credit in the footer. I honestly didn’t even recognize it at first, but soon realized Peach-Autumn.net was actually using a highly modified version of the Featherlight theme. Take a look at the before and after (click to enlarge).

I’ve seen several WordPress sites using my themes but nothing quite like this. As you can see, it went through a pretty amazing transformation and looks great.

If you’re using one of my themes and think you’re worthy of being featured in the new Showcase section, feel free to contact me and I’ll see what I can do.
