First of all, welcome to Theme Lab! We aim to be a source of quality free WordPress themes for WordPress bloggers all around the world. All of the themes you see on this website are original themes released by us. We frequently collaborate with free CSS template designers, and port their templates into WordPress. Some of these designers include Nuvio Templates, FreeCSS.info, Rambling Soul, and many others. All of the templates we ported into WordPress are listed in the ported themes category. All of our free WordPress themes are available for download on the free WordPress themes. We currently have over 100 themes available, attracting over 400,000 downloads in total.

In addition to providing free quality themes, we also aim to be an authoritative source of WordPress information. We personally write and publish unique WordPress tutorials. These guides are usually oriented to beginners. Topics range from basic installation to reviews of popular WordPress plugins. These well-written guides seem to be popular among inexperienced and seasoned WordPress users alike.

Who is behind it all

My name is Leland. I am a web developer and self-proclaimed WordPress expert. I run this site, code/release all the themes, and write all the tutorials myself. I guess this should be called an “About Me” page instead, since I’m pretty much the only contributor to the site itself. I’ve been working with WordPress for several years.

I’ve worked with several clients in basic installation, various theme customizations, consultation, and even complete WordPress development from start to finish. Recently I launched a service called Custom Theme where I develop professionally designed, custom-made themes from scratch, which I personally code myself.

Q: I want to be a guest blogger. Do you allow guest bloggers?
A: Sure, why not? E-mail me if you’re interested in this. I can either set up an author’s account directly to the blog or you could just email a post to me and I’d post it under my account with a short introduction introducing who you are, like this.

Q: I’m designer and want to work with you to produce a free WordPress theme.
A: If you design with layered Photoshop files and/or valid XHTML/CSS and can design blog templates, sure. More information is available on this post or you could participate in a future theme battle.

Q: I want to stay up to date with all your blog posts, how do I do this?
A: You can subscribe to our RSS feed at FeedBurner. If you don’t have an RSS reader you can subscribe through e-mail. Just input your email in the subscription box at the top of the sidebar to get daily updates whenever there’s a new post.

Q: One of your themes is broken, I can’t get it to work. Help me!
A: That’s what the support forums are for. I check it frequently and try to help everyone having problems.
