WordPress 2.6.3 Released

It was just announced that WordPress 2.6.3 has been released due to a security issue in something called Snoopy. Snoopy is something that grabs the feeds that are displayed in your dashboard. It’s supposed to be a relatively minor risk. If you don’t want to download the whole upgrade, you can get the following 2 files from the release post:
- wp-includes/class-snoopy.php
- wp-includes/version.php
And replace them. I just upgraded and it was a pretty painless process.

I like the automatic upgrade plugin, its painless.

I know Leland, talked to him on the phone a week or two ago. He said everything is fine, he just has some other things going on in his life right now. I think he will probably be back.

2.7’s been out for a while now, and this is about 2.6?
For someone as involved in the internet as Leland it would be next to impossible for him not to have left any sign of him… as sad as it may seem, I think there’s a possibility he may have died.
Having said that, he’s done a good job in not giving to much away about where he comes from etc.
If this website doesn’t go down, then at least we know he’s paying the hosting fees… but somehow i think it will go down this year??
If he’s dead or in jail, can I buy this site?

I have tried with this version. But now I move to use versione 2.6.2 and I feel it is ok!
