I’m having the same problem as Linda – syntax error on line 21 of the footer.php file. When I open the file it just looks like one huge long (30+ lines) of a single PHP statement and I’m not understanding this at all. Linda (or anyone) – were you ever able to fix this?? I’m really struggling with this and thinking that the file might be corrupt or something. Please help!

Love the theme!! I have a question… the same as a couple of the commenters above… I’d like to make the main column wider, and maybe even the 2 side columns more narrow. What section of the 960.css file changes the width for the columns? I couldn’t tell which to change because there were so many grids. Please help!

I’m wondering if anyone can help (or clarify) in the original design of KIS there is a “feature” post for both the main column, and the sidebar, but I have no idea if that’s available OR how to use it in this version (which rocks by the way) can anyone help?

Well, it would almost work… but there is the 960.css grid file that is ancient Greek to me…

Basically in your sidebar.php you will have to remove the div that corresponds with the name in the css, just remove it and make the content width in the css longer. If leland wants to do a screen recording of it, if he has time then he could post the link in reply to this.

I like this theme a lot! I love nice 3 column theme, there aren’t enough of them out there! I would really really like to make the main column wider…is that possible??

Also, re the bold/strong issue, I tried this–> “That might have to do with the reset.css stylesheet. Remove the strong and em tags from it to see if that helps.” but there were no changes. Any ideas?

One more thing. When you are on an individual post and you click on the blog header which usually takes you back to the home page on most blogs and themes, it just reloads the individual post page. Can that be changed?

Linda – open up a file editor or the Theme Editor in your dashboard and edit footer.php in the theme’s folder. Find line number 21 (with an automatic counter or count it yourself), and look for a period that might be out of place. Pretty straightforward

Got an error message at the bottom of the home page.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘.’ in footer.php on line 21
