WordPress Weekend Resources – July 18, 2008
It’s Friday, which means another issue of WordPress weekend resources.
Evolution of WordPress: B2/Cafelog to WordPress 1.0 – A nice flashback in the history of WordPress. This post by Keith Dsouza of Weblog Tools Collection goes over the evolution of WordPress from the b2cafelog platform.
The Ultimate WordPress Commenting System – This post by Jeff Chandler of Performancing lists 7 separate WordPress commenting plugins that combine to create the “utlimate” commenting system. I use a few already on Theme Lab such as the the “Subscribe to comments via e-mail” plugin.
Only a couple this week. If anyone knows of any recently published WordPress resources for next week, feel free to let me know.

Looking for web hosting?
Question: What's the best type of web hosting?
Answer: The kind you don't have to worry about.
And that's precisely why I recommend HostGator. I've been using them myself for years and they've been nothing short of superb.
Fast load times, great support, WordPress-friendly, and good prices. Not much more you can ask for.
New customers can get 25% off of any HostGator web hosting package with the coupon: themelab25percentoff
Note: I am a HostGator affiliate, but that doesn't make my recommendation any less genuine.
