For those of you who aren’t aware, there was a little scare in the WordPress SEO community when it was discovered that the All In One SEO pack plugin, originally authored by Uberdose, would no longer be supported. I heard over at Hack WordPress that the plugin support and development will now be handled by Semper Fi Web Design.
Semper Fi Web Design is not new to the world of WordPress plugins. They have developed other plugins such as WP Security Scan and SMS Text Message, so it seems like Uberdose found a qualified successor.
All In One SEO Pack was one of the subjects of one of my earlier articles: Optimizing WordPress for Search Engines. It’s a great plugin for taking care of duplicate content issues across archive pages, as well as inserting meta keywords and descriptions on pages.

Yeah, it sounds like they have some plugin experience, but do they know anything about SEO? I guess we’ll find out soon enough
Very good news indeed. All in One SEO is definitely in the core group of plugins I install on each WP development I work on.
Wonder if there will be any new features that will implemented in the plugin.
@Kyle: On their site, under Web Services they say they offer “Seach Engine Optimization/Marketing” - although doesn’t link to any page. Not sure if this is a good or a bad thing.
@IndieLab: Yes, I use it on practically every WordPress project as well, it’s an excellent plugin.
@Faizi: Not sure, but as long as they keep it compatible with later versions of WP - I’ll be happy.

Yeah, I hope they know what they are doing though. Everyone thinks they are an expert on SEO these days!
Even though I’ve been using SEO Sniper, all I truly ask is that they keep it compatible with the latest version of WordPress…
