Today we have a very nice free WordPress theme release, and no - this isn’t a joke (happy April fools). This is another ported theme, this time designed by Styleshout.com. It has a widget-ready sidebar, so everything on the sidebar can be moved around with ease.
Note: This has a recent comments plugin built-in (visible in the footer). If you already have a recent comments plugin activated on your blog, please make sure it’s deactivated before installing this theme, as it may cause issues.
Update (April 28, 2008): Added support for RSS feeds, tags, edit post links, and multiple page links.
Tags: black, colorful, dark, right sidebar, Styleshout, two columns

FreshMedia would be great to see ported
If I can just make another comment about the Fresh Media theme. It has been ported by http://seobilgi.com/ very well, but for some strange reason the pages get assigned to categories? Other than that very annoying oddity is has been ported very well.
I was hoping you could try to ‘better’ that port by fixing the page/category oddity and adding your magic elsewhere… thanks so much if you could.
Pete
@Pete: I’ll see what I can do about the Fresh Media theme…thanks for the tip.
Man I fell in love with your theme !
So much i will be using it for our new designed site, im installing it as we “speak” when everything runs smotthly il let you know so you can give us your comments and aproval
Love your theme will go and try it out.
Love the theme, only issue with it is sub pages assigned to a parent page dont display anywhere!
Any chance of a solution or some tips on how i can mod the theme to show them?
@Ben: Sure, that’s easy. Find:
<?php wp_list_pages('title_li=&depth=1'); ?>Replace with:
<?php wp_list_pages('title_li='); ?>is there any way to change the stuff the comes in the footer like about etc..
@AgentX: It’s just text in the footer.php file, easily changed.
Thank you very much
Very nice template
Hey, just letting you know I’ve added the Colourise theme to my list of the top Wordpress themes available, which you can see at http://www.bestwpthemes.com. Enjoy!
@Matt: Thanks for letting me know!
wow - great template. now i’m just wondering how to change the header.
i’ve found the header image and replaced it with one of the same dimensions, but i dont believe the template knows to center or crop my new image to fit the header. the black of the header image faded into the black of the background in the stock header, and i dont know the HTML or whatever in order to position/size it correctly.
any help?
thanks
chris
Great theme!
Awesome theme, I can’t believe you are actually doing this free for all!
Done! This theme is now available for Blogspot bloggers.

Watch your theme live, Leland
This theme is awesome and i used it for a while but then found the UrbanArtist theme that i also liked… so what i did was take a mixture of the two.. mainly using my own header graphic and the urban layout..
Please check it out and leave a comment on my blog.. (made a whole post of the update.. would be good to hear peoples thoughts??)

Your themes are all really great and high quality, and I’m wanting to switch to this theme (colourise) for my site — I’m sick of the sloppy CSS that I have currently. HOWEVER, in 2.6 I can’t get the text to properly wrap around pictures in this theme! I’ve tried messing with the CSS, but I’m a pretty rank amateur when it comes to stylesheets, so any help or updates you can make to the theme would be greatly appreciated!
@RandomRage: Thanks. Try adding the following lines of CSS.
.alignleft {float:left;}.alignright {float:right;}
That did it! Thanks a ton. For anyone else with the same problem, add the following to those tags to keep the text from bleeding into the picture frame:
margin: 5px 10px 10px 10px;
Wonderful Theme! Thanks for creating it. I had to modify it slightly to fit my needs better but now have it on my site.
@latoga: Very nice, like the header image a lot!
I can’t get the theme to work. I can see it in my theme gallery (Wordpress 2.6) but I can’t get a preview of it - and if I activate it, I **** up my site.
Help ?
@AoOs: That’s strange, because the demo.themelab.com (where the live demo is set up) is also WordPress 2.6. Is there any error message at all when you preview or activate?
I also noticed you have recent comments on your blog, are you using a plugin for this? Try deactivating it because Colourise already has Recent Comments built into it. Both of them together might cause a conflict.
Thanks! That did the trick!
AWESOME!
how would I go about changing the size and font-style of the header text?? thanks
